WW2 US tropical helmet

This is an item you don’t see much!
You see the M1 helmets, the paratrooper helmets and the tanker helmets, but when do you see a tropical helmet?

Helmet it self is in perfect mint and unissued condition.
The white stuff on the adjustable headband is paper that got stuck because of age.
Still original label present with instructions for adjustments.
Helmet it self marked with a producer ink stamp that also shows a 1944 date.
