WW2 British Fairbairn & Sykes commando dagger

A very nice WW2 third pattern British so called F&S commando dagger.

It comes in a not standard pattern scabbard, but always belonged to the knife.
If you check several documentation, you will discover that these and other types of scabbards were also know, instead only the most known standard issue scabbard.

On the cross guard the dagger is marked with “england”.
This was done to be able to export them after the war.
These daggers were not allowed to be exported as they were not marked this way.
Lots were still in storage or brought back in after the war and money was needed, so sold to other nations or prepared to be sold to those.

Have a look and pictures will tell the rest for this nice piece!
