WW2 British 40mm shell trench art

This is a nice condition WW2 British 40 mm shell.
40mm was most time used with anti aircraft guns like the Bofors gun.
Shell is nicely dated 1943 on the bottom.

Someone took the time to rework the shell and make a kind of vase of it.
Because of that, I call it trench art.
