U.S. West Point Shako helmet badge.

Well, this is a nice item for the badge and headwear collector.

The brass badge reads “Duty, Honor, Country, West Point, MDCCC, USM”

The back has a large horizontal pin to attach it to a Military Academy West Point Shako Helmet.

Badge is about 12 centimeters horizontal en 10-11 centimeters vertical in size, so a big badge.

Time period is a bit difficult for me to pinpoint, because I have seen ones that are from the the early 1900, but also later.
