Pre 1945 bayonet with scabbard ( Portugal M1904)

A bit of a mystery this bayonet is.
I don’t have the proper research material to be sure what origin this bayonet has.

I looks like a German Imperial bayonet, but these don’t have a muzzle ring.
Because there are no markings I could see ( beside “1862” in the cross guard), I don’t exactly know were to look.
My best bet is a Portuguese M1904 sword bayonet for the 6.5 mm M1904 Mauser-Verguerio rifle.

The M1904 bayonets were made from 1904 till 1909 by Simson & Co. of Suhl, Germany.
This may be explains why it looks so much like the German imperial bayonet.
Only 75.000 of these bayonets were produced, because around that time Portugal ran out of money because of financial difficulties.
