WW2 U.S. pack board belts
You see a lot of the plywood pack boards for sale, but you encounter not much the straps that go with them to secure the load.
These are the officially called “strap, quick-release, pack board, Type I”
You could secure a load with a rope, but these straps were a specially designed to secure the load on a pack board.
The have a metal quick snap in hook and a lever to secure loads in a very fast way.
You only have to adjust the length of the strap to the load.
I have placed a picture of my own pack board with a strap in use.
You can also see on in “GI collector’s guide Volume 1” on page 75 were a single strap is added to the board.
How many you use on pack board is depending what you want your self.
I have used 3 on my own board.
Markings: marked, but because of the webbing structure hard to read.
See pictures.
Condition: never used / guaranteed WWII period
