U.S. WW2 Blanket medical No.2

WW2 U.S. Navy Medical Department blanket.

Description / purpose:
Very large wool blanket that was used in U.S. Navy Medical Departments.
My guess is both on- as offshore.
I have measured the blankets and they are about 1,75 x 2,05 meters ( about 5.8 x 6.8 feet )

Can imagine that they were also used in Normandy after the landings!

Markings: In the middle “Medical Department” and on the edges “U.S. Navy”
Condition: never used / light moth damage because of storage
